Reverse Teen Acne Now
By Myra Michelle Eby – MyChelle Dermaceuticals
I
understand first hand how devastating acne can be. As a teen, I
developed mild acne that worsened with age. As a young adult, I was
horrified by my acne breakouts and I spent many years feeling
discouraged. My self-esteem was affected because of the reflection of
my blemish prone skin staring back at me in the mirror. I tried every
acne product on the market only to be frustrated again and again.
In desperation, I began using a kitchen blender to
make my own skin care masks and cleansers that I hoped would finally
heal my acne. The fruits, yogurt, and honey had a calming effect on my
skin. But I had to make these recipes fresh every day. It was neither
practical nor efficient. I was also missing key
ingredients—concentrated bioactives.
Because of my personal past struggles, I have been
on a mission to create the most effective teen acne products ever
formulated. I am proud to announce, we have done just that with
MyChelle’s Clear Skin Teen Anthology natural skin care
program.
The Problem
Acne is the most common skin disease in America
affecting more than 60 million people. The American Dermatologist
Association reports that nearly 85 percent of people age 12 to 24 have
acne and 20 percent of the adult population is affected as well.
Several factors can encourage the development of acne:
- excess oil production
- poor exfoliation
- genetics
- diet
- stress
- hormones
These conditions create an ideal environment for the
Proprionum Bacteria—the bacteria that causes acne—to flourish. Excess
oil production and poor exfoliation in particular encourage the growth
of this bacteria. Increased hormone production as seen during the teen
years, as well as diet, poor hygiene, and other factors exacerbate oil
production while creating a breeding ground for infection.
There are varying degrees of acne from mild to
disfiguring. Acne can appear as clogged pores resulting in white and
black heads or nodules and cysts. Infected, painful acne is often the
combination of increased inflammation and trapped dead skin cells and
dirt. That’s why it’s critical to use a sulfate free, pure, balancing
cleanser with anti-inflammatory and natural exfoliating ingredients.
Unfortunately, many people are so desperate to ease
their acne they resort to harsh prescriptions or over-the-counter
medications. Following is a brief description of conventional acne
treatments and the problems they pose for the individual suffering
with acne:
- Antibiotics: the proprionum bacteria can
quickly become resistant to most antibiotics, which are already
overused in our society; antibiotics also destroy friendly bacteria
essential to healthy skin
- Benzoyl Peroxide: this ingredient is so
drying it has been shown to bleach hair, sheets, towels, and
clothing (the manufacturer even recommends you wear an old shirt
when applying products that contain this ingredient so as not to
damage nice clothing).
- Acetone: this is a cleaning/solvent agent
and preservative often used in nail polish remover and gasoline and
I’m not sure why anyone would want to use it on their skin.
- Isopropyl Alcohol: used in high
concentrations this form of alcohol is too drying and sends the skin
into a dry/oily roller coaster.
Most conventional and FDA-approved treatments can
actually worsen acne. They only focus on temporary symptom relief
rather than addressing the underlying causes. Symptom relief will not
cure acne for the long term. Most acne treatments available today
create an unhealthy cycle for the skin that includes episodes of
severe dryness followed by periods of extreme oiliness. The goal of
effective acne treatment is to balance the skin and alleviate these
extremes.
The specialized products in the
MyChelle Clear Skin Teen Anthology work together to reverse
and potentially eliminate acne completely.
The Solution
The
MyChelle Clear Skin Teen Anthology skin care program is an
effective, naturally pure acne treatment program specifically
formulated for teens. This innovative new program contains four
significant products designed to help heal acne. The ingredients in
each of these products were carefully chosen because of their
therapeutic activity. In addition, these select ingredients are
properly balanced so they will not harm already sensitive skin. This
program will not only clear skin, it will support the skin’s structure
and function and enhance the overall health of oily/blemish prone
skin. This program targets the underlying causes of acne.
Here is a list of key bioactive ingredients for each
of the four products featured in the Clear Skin Teen Anthology:

Clear Skin Cleanser - Cleanses, nourishes, and protects the
skin.
- Salix Alba: is willow bark extract and is
very soothing and has powerful anti-inflammatory properties.
- Totarol: from the Totara tree in New Zealand,
is a proven natural anti-bacterial agent shown to be especially
effective against the proprionum bacteria; it is also gentle and
non-irritating.
- Plantago Lanceolata leaf extract: from the
Plantago plant (the same one that produces plantains), is very
effective at healing damaged skin; this astringent ingredient is
also a potent anti-inflammatory.
Clear
Skin Clarifying Pads - Provides additional soothing,
anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial support. This product also
contains the three active ingredients found in the cleanser.
- Melia Azadirachta extract: from neem, is a strong
natural anti-bacterial agent; neem is also rich in fatty acids to
help nourish the skin.
- Olea Europaea extract: from olive leaf, has
broad-spectrum anti-bacterial properties, meaning it can eliminate a
wide range of bacteria in addition to proprionum.

Clear Skin Spot Treatment - Targets specific problematic
blemishes or areas of the skin and contains totarol.
- Sulphur: anti-bacterial and a powerful
antioxidant, it also helps regenerate healthy cells.

Clear Skin Balancing Cream - Provides ultimate hydration
and skin stabilizing activity.
- Bellis Perennis Extract: is from the daisy flower
and is a proven natural wound healing substance.
- Aloe Barbadensis: leaf juice powder from aloe, is
an extremely healing and hydrating ingredient with anti-inflammatory
properties.
- Aspalathus Linearis Extract: from rooibos, is a
significant antioxidant nutrient that is also an anti-irritant.
When used consistently and as directed, the previously mentioned
ingredients in
MyChelle’s Clear Skin Teen Anthology will visually improve
oily/blemish-prone skin.
For best results we suggest:
- Cleanse with Clear Skin Cleanser
- Tone with Clear Skin Clarifying Pads
- Nourish with Clear Skin Balancing Cream
in the morning and evening
- Use Clear Skin Spot Treatment for
intensive treatment, on specific problematic areas as needed
Always use a natural sun block such as
MyChelle’s Sun Shield especially on acne skin to protect newly
generated, healthy skin cells. This will also help prevent hyper
pigmentation and redness that occurs while acne lesions are healing.
Clear Skin Completely
We are a visual society and we often make first
impressions by what we see. Because of this, acne can damage
self-confidence. In addition, if left untreated or treated improperly
it can lead to permanent skin damage or scarring. The MyChelle
Dermaceuticals Clear Skin Teen Anthology is scientifically designed to
end acne. It can truly make a difference in the life of a teen, young
adult, or anyone affected with devastating acne.
