What America’s Doctor, Dr. Oz Has to
Say about Fucoxanthin for Natural Metabolic Weight Loss
By Garden of Life Health Writers & Christine Dreher, CCN,

Dr.
Oz is known as America’s Doctor and is the host of the Daytime Emmy
Award winning “The Dr. Oz Show.” Recently, the good doctor featured
brown seaweed from the ocean—namely Fucoxanthin—stating that it has
potent powers to boost the metabolism to help burn fat. He’s everything
you want your doctor to be—highly educated and trained, caring, widely
respected and always practical with the needs of his patients in mind.
He’s Dr. Oz, America’s Doctor.
It’s no wonder he’s been dubbed America’s Doctor. His pedigree is
immaculate—he’s
Harvard-trained in his undergraduate degree and received his M.D. from
the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine—and his approach and
demeanor are trustworthy.
He is one of the most well-known cardiac surgeons currently
practicing in the United
States and he is also the Vice-Chair and Professor of Surgery at
Columbia University.
Additionally, Oz directs the Cardiovascular Institute and Complementary
Medicine
Program at New York Presbyterian Hospital.
You may already know Dr. Oz as the featured health expert on The
Oprah Winfrey Show for five seasons. Oz was popular then, but his
devoted audience has grown even more. Dr. Oz has won a Daytime Emmy
Award for the Best Informative Talk Show Host for 2010 and 2011, was
honored as one of “The Harvard 100 Most Influential Alumni,” “Doctor of
the Year” by Hippocrates magazine and “Healer of the Millennium” by
Healthy Living magazine.
The truth is that when Dr. Oz speaks, people listen—millions of
people. That’s why people flock to buy what Dr. Oz discusses. They know
that they can trust what he says and, if they follow his advice, it will
most likely work.
Take his TV show episode when he presented brown seaweed with
Fucoxanthin—the super supplement that he says helps burn more fat.
Oz cited the same 16-week study behind Garden of Life’s popular weight
management supplement, called
FücoTHIN. In the study, 150 overweight and obese women took 600mg of
a proprietary blend of Fucoxanthin and pomegranate oil each day, in
addition to following a strict 1800-calorie per day diet. The women
taking the FücoTHIN formula burned more calories, and lost more fat than
those who were on the placebo.
Oz then demonstrated
how Fucoxanthin works to accelerate metabolism. He lit two circle
shaped signs on fire and noted that the sign with Fucoxanthin on it
ignited and burned much faster than the sign without the Fucoxanthin.
The fire was, of course, representative of a normal metabolism and the
metabolism on Fucoxanthin was just faster than the one without it.
We at
Garden of Life are proud to say we agree with Dr. Oz and we offer
the exact same clinically studied, proprietary
Fucoxanthin formula in the healthy foods marketplace, as discussed
by Dr. Oz. A daily serving of three tiny, easy-to-swallow
FücoTHIN softgels offers 200mg of the proprietary blend of
Fucoxanthin per softgel—with a total amount of 600mg a day, which is
100mg more than the study Dr. Oz referred to. Likewise, advanced usage
of FücoTHIN can give you up to 1800mg a day—and that’s a lot of
fat-burning potential!
Rev Up Your Metabolic Engine without the Jitters
It
starts with an unexpected burst of nervous energy. Your mind, which just
a few moments ago focused on the task at hand, has suddenly veered off
course. Your left leg has ceased to be controlled by you—it’s nervously
bouncing up and down, a self-actualized puppet-on-a-string. The need to
stand up and just move overtakes you, yet you really have no place to
be. Put together, this seems like a pretty odd way to lose weight.
Yet, a number of weight management supplements intentionally cause
the reactions above. They focus on using chemical compounds that
stimulate the central nervous system. They literally attempt to make you
jitter your way to weight loss. While they may be considered “safe,” is
that really the way you want to enhance your weight management agenda?
Not to mention the potential long-term health issues of over-stimulating
your central nervous system?
FücoTHIN from Garden of Life works differently—naturally— as part of
your overall plan that includes a healthy calorie restricted diet and
exercise to help you attain your weight loss goals. The key component in
FücoTHIN—super-concentrated
Fucoxanthin—is naturally derived from brown seaweed.
FücoTHIN bypasses the central nervous system, working at the
cellular level to convert fat into energy. Since the central nervous
system isn’t involved, FücoTHIN allows you to burn fat without
experiencing the jitters or nervous symptoms. FücoTHIN is the whole-food
alternative to weight loss supplementation.
Fucoxanthin was “discovered” the way most good nutritional
supplement ingredients are discovered—by looking at components of a
healthy diet. In this case, scientists were curious as to whether or not
brown seaweed, a vegetable source for some of the healthiest populations
on the planet, had any influence on weight management.
They discovered that
Fucoxanthin—an antioxidant found in certain types of brown
seaweed—had a unique effect on fat. It worked to naturally increase
metabolism without stimulating the central nervous system. In fact, they
found that Fucoxanthin from brown seaweed worked deep within the body at
the cellular level. Within fat cells, Fucoxanthin was shown to speed up
the metabolic process and increase the conversion of fat into energy.
Study participants who used
FücoTHIN experienced a significantly higher metabolic rate than with
diet alone. While the scientists who discovered how Fucoxanthin acts in
the body were surprised at how it works, they weren’t necessarily
surprised that it works. There is a long history of looking to whole
foods for health. FücoTHIN represents that concept—a whole food weight
loss supplement, clinically studied in a total of 150 overweight and
obese Eastern European women in a randomized, double-blinded placebo
controlled 16-week study, to help you manage your weight without any
unwanted side effects.

FücoTHIN &
Diet 360 weight-loss formulas contain the proprietary
Fucoxanthin discussed and studied in this article.
