Arrive Alive Potency Promise!
Probiotics that are found in cultured dairy products are very sensitive to
heat and humidity. Knowing this, supplement companies use large
colony-forming unit (CFU) counts because there is an expected die-off of
some of the probiotics between the time they are manufactured and the time
they are consumed. Check the labels. When you see “50 billion CFU per
serving” it is often followed by “At time of manufacture.” It is very hard
for the consumer to know—and have confidence in—the number on the bottle.
For RAW Probiotics formulas, it was critical to us to remove this doubt.
That is why
Garden of Life created the
Arrive Alive process. It ensures that
our probiotics are handled in such a way that you can feel confident you are
getting the full 85 billion CFU in every serving.
- To start, RAW Probiotics are grown in a state-of-the-art culturing
facility. When the probiotics are fully grown, they are quickly put into
frozen storage.
- They are then packed in dry ice and shipped overnight in refrigerated
trucks to our manufacturing plant, where they are immediately transferred to
our own freezers for storage until they are ready to be blended and
encapsulated. The facility we use is exclusively dedicated to the production
of our probiotics. That means that
Garden of Life controls the environmental
conditions—keeping it cold and at the proper humidity.
- After blending and encapsulating, the RAW Probiotics are immediately
moved back into cold storage.
- When retailers order Raw Probiotics, the finished goods are picked and
placed into special insulated containers, along with desiccants (moisture
absorbing agents) and frozen packs so that they remain at optimal
temperature and relative humidity all the way to our retail partners.
- Retailers are instructed to store the RAW Probiotics in refrigeration
until the consumer purchases them and the instructions on the packaging
inform the consumer the product is best when refrigerated. With
Garden of Life's Arrive Alive system, you can feel sure that you are getting what the
label promises.
