Introduction to Internal Body Cleansing
and Detoxification

Most people spend so much time and effort cleansing their external environment, i.e., their bodies, clothes, houses, cars, etc. but do not
spend enough or any time cleansing their internal environment: their blood, intestines, kidneys, lungs, liver, etc. With the evolution of modern society, the internal
body is being stressed even more than ever before and overloaded with chemicals, toxins, air pollution, radiation. Not to mention the toxins we ingest through our mouths:
the processed and de mineralized foods, herbicides, pesticides, food colorings, preservatives and greasy, acidic based foods. These poisons can cause excessive stress on
the entire physiology of our bodies, weakening our immune systems, digestive systems and eliminative organs. Once these systems are weakened, the other glands and organs
become weakened and stressed, resulting in chronic and degenerative diseases.
When our bodies are clean and strong, they are able to eliminate toxins, but when they become overloaded, they become sluggish and more
susceptible to disease, as the immune system no longer has the capability of fighting off the invading diseases. Then when the body manifests discomfort and symptoms of
imbalance (headaches, indigestion, gas, fatigue, aches and pains, just to name a few), most people try to cover up the symptoms or cure them with more chemicals, instead
of seeking the cause of the imbalanced system. As the first trouble indicators are often suppressed or ignored, the body's signals of problems becomes louder with more
serious health problems, due to the continuous overload of toxicity in the body. Not to mention the repressed and denied emotions and mental stress that also take their
toll on the health of the body. Eventually, when the system becomes stagnant and can no longer rid itself of toxins, chronic disease or death manifests.
Effective cleansing and body detoxification is the key to a healthy, balanced system. By eliminating the toxic accumulation, the causes of
many health problems are also eliminated. The body is then able to fight off infections and bacterial invasions more efficiently. According to Benard Jensen, "It is the
bowel that invariably has to be cared for first, before effective healing can take place."
Furthermore, the body can not properly absorb nutrients, vitamins and health supplements if it is congested and toxic. An analogy would be
putting new oil in a car without draining out the old, dirty oil first. By draining out the old oil first, then adding the new, not only will the car run smoother, but
also the engine will run better. According to Bernard Jensen, "Every tissue is fed by the blood, which is supplied by the bowel. When the bowel is dirty, the blood is
dirty." Before spending time and money consuming quality natural food products and nutritional supplements, the body needs to rid itself of toxins and encumbering waste
material. It is simple: detoxify and then rebuild properly.
