Independent Book Reviews of "The Cleanse Cookbook"
|From the Author
This cookbook was inspired by a 40-day intestinal cleanse program that transformed my life in so many incredible ways. I completed my first
cleanse in July, 1995. Within the first week of the cleanse, I had already noticed dramatic results. My complexion cleared, my eyes became whiter and brighter and the
puffiness in my face disappeared. I felt lighter and my weight began dropping. As I continued the cleanse, I lost more than 30 pounds and have maintained my ideal weight
since. I also noticed more energy and vitality. Also the constipation and abdominal bloating went away. I not only cleansed my physical body, I also cleared away a lot of
old emotional and mental baggage. The more I cleansed, the more I detoxified. I felt so much lighter, like a whole new person!
Others around me were amazed at my incredible transformation. Many of them also wanted to cleanse. I then trained as a cleanse coach and
distributor. As my business grew, I coached many people through the cleanse process. I was constantly asked for recipe ideas and help with food preparation during the
cleanse process. I realized that there were not any cookbooks available to assist people.
I am an intuitive lover of cooking. It has always been exciting for me to create new, healthy dishes. So I got to work and put my cleanse
recipes on paper. Then I called several cleanse customers who also enjoyed cooking and asked them for their favorite cleanse recipes. I also contacted two friends who had
cleansed with me that were chefs by profession. I asked them to contribute their cleanse recipes. And so, the creation of this cleanse cookbook.
"The Cleanse Cookbook" was created to support and assist people through their cleanse and detoxification programs, and to educate them
about the value of cleansing and balancing their pH level.
My commitment to you and the world is to support all levels of healing and transformation, including physical, emotional, mental and
spiritual; to support us in becoming all that we Truly are, letting go of all the "baggage, toxins, illusions, etc." that hold us back. To your health, well being, and

“The Cleanse Cookbook” by Christine Dreher
A one-of-a-kind, excellent resource and guide to assist in detoxifying and balancing the body’s pH. With the evolution of modern society, most people have neglected their
most valuable resource in life –the human body. More and more people are suffering from immune deficiencies and nondescript illnesses that are most likely due to the
pesticides, toxins, demineralized foods and preservatives/processing to which the food of today is exposed.
“The Cleanse Cookbook” not only educates one on why these stressors can influence the quality of our life by destroying our immune systems, organs, and digestive systems,
but it also provides reasonable solutions and wonderful recipes that will make cleaning out our bodies fun and easy.
“The Cleanse Cookbook” teaches us to stop trying to ingest products that cover up the symptoms of a toxic body, but rather to naturally cleanse and maintain balance by
eliminating the toxic accumulation which is the cause of so many health problems.
This book is also great to use as an allergy-free, gluten-free, vegan and pH alkaline cookbook and encourages the use of Stevia as a sweetener, rather that the dangerous
consumption of sugar and artificial sweeteners. Bon Appetit as you enjoy delicious tasty recipes and newfound energy and health as a result! Try it, you just might get

Christine: I just wanted to tell you what a blessing it has been having your cookbook (The Cleanse Cookbook) during my cleanse!! You don't
know how fabulous it has been to be able to serve my husband a variety of good tasting meals during the pre-cleanse phase.
We did the pre-cleanse with two meals a day for two weeks, then one week of one meal a day and now we are into the 4th day of our 1 week
fast. Some of the dishes I prepared from your book my husband said "This is so good we could serve this to company!"
I went to the health food store down the block from my office and told them about your book and told them they had to get this in stock and
tell every person who comes in to buy cleansing herbs and products to buy it. I am going to bring the book to town and let the manager of the store review it...hopefully
he will take the advice of this thoroughly satisfied customer!
The cleanse is going great. I feel really good considering I had an out-patient operation at the beginning of the third week. I had to take
anti-biotics for several days after, however I stayed on schedule with the program.
I am grateful to The Great Spirit for guiding me to find you on the Internet and giving me the determination to cleanse once again.
With warmest regards,

First of all, I want to thank you for taking the time to create such a fabulous cookbook!! I have yet to complete or even begin a cleanse but your recipes are fabulous!!
I have unintentionally became 90% vegan simply because the recipes are so tasty and so satisfying. (still eat fish one day out of 14) The ancient grains give me all the
protein I need and everything else gives me the fuel my body needs to be
productive. I'm training for a marathon right now and my body is so so happy that I'm eating this way. I've lost about 15 lbs (needed to) and even though I haven't
"cleansed" per se, I can tell that my body is a lot less toxic. I have more energy than I imagined and have nerve felt so strong while training. Good luck with your
second cookbook. I'll be looking for it.

Shortly after Lent began, I found your cookbook in a health food store in Wichita, KS. I felt like I'd been hit with a ton of bricks! I had
been wanting for years to do a cleanse program, and I've been on diets galore, but have not ever had much success in sticking with any kind of such a program. I have had
such problems trying to figure out from among so many dietary approaches the one that is RIGHT for ME!! When I found your cookbook it was such an amazing thing to see the
recipes, and that I could really fix meals on that list near the front of your book that actually taste good and satisfying! The cookbook information on cleansing squares
with what I have researched over the years, and I am so happy to have found it and eager to learn more from Dr Anderson's books.
So I bought it, and the next day I started the program. I used your list of foods near the front of the book and started playing with your recipes. I confess I only fixed
a few of them, and then found myself becoming creative and making up my own!
I have lost 15 pounds since about a week after Lent started, and I will be finishing this round of cleansing the week after Easter. This is such a victory for me...I have
never been able to lose weight without a tremendous effort. But this program has helped me melt it off. Since I have quite a lot more to lose, I plan to take a week off
and then launch into another phase of cleansing. I want to thank you for this cookbook!
It really has helped me figure out what to do with all those veggies!
Again, thanks so much for your cookbook! It has truly answered a long-time need and given me much hope.

A friend just gave me your "Cleanse Cookbook". I love it. Great book, well organized, great recipes! I especially like the sections "About Asparagus"
and so on - the big picture view of veggies for those of us that like to experiment on our own!

Hello Christine Dreher~My Cleansing Angel:
Well, this has to be the most wonderful cookbook I have EVER purchased! No meat! No wheat! No sugar! No dairy! No gluten! No yeast! You are
awesome! I can't begin to thank you enough. Yesterday I was in the "Body Mind Healing Center" for the beginning of my Fall Equinox Cleanse and Dr. Heather Lowe handed me
your cookbook. I bought it, simply because "she" suggested it and because of the "title." NOW, after reading your book, I am psyched! If there is anything I can do to
help promote your cookbook, please let me know. I currently work as a broker in the Natural Food Industry and have NEVER seen such a wonderful tool for cleansing as your
cookbook. And I have been in a lot of natural food stores that focus, of course, on cleansing!
...Thank-you sooo much!! You have touched my spirit and brought me a step closer to a better and healthier lifestyhe.
Many blessings to you-- Shanti, Tamara Anne

"The Best Vegan Cookbook I`ve Found." For anyone looking for a great vegan cookbook that combines the healthiest in grains, veggies and
oils, this is it. Very well laid out with sections on soups, salads, vegetables, grains, dressings, sauces& dips and desserts. Christine uses a nice variety of herbs to
make for real tasty dishes. With lots of information on PH balancing and cleansing a must for good health. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

A valuable tool for living a TRULY healthy life. Christine Dreher's "Cleanse Cookbook" is a resource I use often. One of my favorite
features of her cookbook is all the information on fruits, veggies, grains, and miscellaneous items. She helps the reader shop for and more importantly, store foods
properly. The recipes are tasty, innovative, and NEVER boring. As a vegan it is hard to find good cookbooks that don't use a lot of tofu or processed meat "substitutes."
I hear she is working on a second cookbook. I can hardly wait!

The Cleanse Cookbook; Delicious & Healthy Recipes for Cleansing and Detoxification, by Christine Dreher, Published by Gemini Services, San
For those already involved in the cleanse philosophy of health, Christine Dreher has collected a wonderful array of recipes and information
in a resource guide to use on a regular basis. And for those of us who are not educated about this philosophy of health, Christine includes information and resources to
assist us in gathering more information.
The recipes are mouthwatering and healthy, and have the added benefit of helping our bodies to heal and stay healthy. Included are recipes
for Soups, Salads, Vegetables, Grains, Dressings, Sauces & Dips and Desserts. We are provided with information concerning selection, storage, preparation and serving
suggestions for each of the vegetables in the cookbook. Similarly, we are educated about grains, the preparation, mixing of and use of several pH alkaline grains.
This book contains such a worthy selection of inviting dishes, it seems only an added benefit that they cleanse and detoxify the body too.
