This 248 page
cookbook was designed specifically to assist with the various
cleansing and detoxification programs available on the market
today. It is also effective when used by itself to cleanse and
balance the pH level of the internal body.
"The Cleanse Cookbook" provides healthy (alkaline pH) cleanse recipes that actually encourage the body to
detoxify and clean out, helping to balance the body's pH level. Most people are very toxic, due in part, to eating too many processed, acid-forming foods that create
congestion and toxicity in the body. This results in an imbalanced pH level and disease. By restoring the body's pH balance, the body can respond naturally and begin
the cleansing and healing process, creating health and harmony, instead of toxicity and disease.
Why Cleanse? So much time and energy is spent cleaning our external environment, including our bodies, houses, cars, and clothes. But
most people spend little or no time cleaning out their internal body. With the evolution of modern society, the internal body is being stressed more than ever before,
overloaded with chemicals, toxins, air pollution and radiation. Not to mention the toxins that are ingested through the mouth, including processed and de-mineralized
foods, herbicides, pesticides, food colorings, preservatives and greasy, acid-based foods. These poisons can cause excessive stress on the entire physiology of the
body, weakening the immune system, digestive system and eliminative organs. Once these systems are weakened, the other glands and organs become weakened and stressed,
resulting in chronic and degenerative diseases.
When the body is clean and healthy, it is easy to eliminate toxins. But when the body becomes overloaded with toxins, it becomes
sluggish and more susceptible to disease. The immune system no longer has the capability to fight off invading diseases. Then, when the body manifests symptoms of
imbalance (disease), most people try to cover up the symptoms with more chemicals instead of dealing with the cause of the imbalanced system.
The cleanse philosophy is based on detoxifying the system by removing unwanted materials that cause disease, rather than the ingestion
of products that simply cover the symptoms. Cleansing is a natural way to remove the overload of toxins from the body, allowing the body to heal and balance itself.
By eliminating the toxic accumulation, the causes of many health problems are also eliminated.

Sample recipe from "The Cleanse Cookbook"
Broccomole
(made with Broccoli instead of Avocado!)
1 1/2 Cups Broccoli Stems, well cooked
1 1/2 Tbs. Lemon Juice, freshly squeezed
1/4 tsp. Cumin
1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder
1/2 Tomato, (vine ripened, low acid), diced
1 Green Onion, peeled and chopped
1 Green Chili Pepper, chopped
Cut off the tough outer skin from broccoli stems. Place the broccoli stems, lemon juice, cumin and garlic powder in a blender or food
processor and puree until smooth.
Christine prefers to blend the tops from the green onions and the green pepper with the broccoli in the food processor for a smoother
consistency and greener color. Save the white part of the chopped green onions to add with the remaining ingredients.
Transfer to a bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. For best flavor, chill before serving. Makes 2 cups or 8 servings.
If you like it spicy, Christine recommends adding a jalepeno pepper (whole, with seeds) or cayenne pepper to taste.
Per serving: 14 calories, 1g protein, 0.1g fat, 3 g carbohydrates, 0 cholesterol, 5 mg. sodium. This is a fat free version of
Guacamole. (Avocados have approx. 30 g of fat each.) So if you are trying to loose weight eat broccomole and if you are trying to gain weight, eat guacamole.
